FAQ's
Why do I need to complete the systems course prior to my arrival at Patriot Executive Flight Training?
Just like a good preflight plan, preparation is the key to a successful mission. Completing your systems course prior to your arrival will prepare you for this accelerated course. Your instructor will cover the aircraft systems in a more in-depth manner faster, affording time to verify that you not only know, but more importantly, that you understand the aircraft systems. This will also allow your instructor to perform a full Instrument Proficiency Check.What do you mean by "Hands-on Access"?
Patriot Executive Flight Training has access to a fleet of PC-12 aircraft. Your instructor will take you to the hangar and be able to walk you through a preflight inspection.
If an aircraft is available, with the help of your instructor, you will go through the start the aircraft using the engine start and shutdown procedure.
Will I be able to fly the Pilatus PC-12 during my training?
Absolutely! We work closely with a trusted PC-12 Operator. Ask about this opportunity when you contact us.Do I need to go through an FAA checkride?
No, there is no FAA checkride requirement for the Pilatus PC-12. you will, however, go through a systems and procedurals check with a separate instructor to assure your training meets our high standards.
Do you provide housing during my stay?
Our staff can assist you in finding transportation and accommodations during your stay.Are you located at the Charleston International Airport?
Our ground school location is location just outside the Charleston International Airport fence line so there is no need to travel long distances to our facility.
